Gifting Tips from Chicago Stylists

Posted by Elizabeth Williams on

Every year you get one, every year you give one. Hats, gloves, and scarves are a staple of holiday gifting. We love them for their "one size fits all" ability along with the personal touch they bring. But as we all know, winter accessories are not all the same. I asked these Chicago Stylists to weigh in on some of their favorites just in time for holiday shopping!

Lora Pratt of Shopping Girl XOXO says, "I love The Snood by local Chicago designer Jennifer Rumps because it is something special, unique, locally/sustainably made, and it is the perfect warm and cozy accessory for Chicago winters!"

Hanna of Hanna Lee Style recommends the Azalea Garden Beanie from Winnie Cooper Boutique along with these cozy mittens from Line Mullens Group because as he says, "I think we could all use extra joy right now and these pops of color do just that!"

Rachel Jimenez Penca of Rachel J Styling says, "One of my favorite winter accessories are my hand knit fingerless gloves by local Chicago designer, KraeO. They are so practical, cozy cute, and add fun details to your everyday cold weather look."

Annie Frances, says, "I love Freyer Sunglasses because that winter sun is bright!" She also recommends Rainbow Serum by Ninni to help keep skin moisturized during the winter months.

Alyssa Peterson of Cashmere and Wit says, "I love the winged scarf by local artist Sophia Reyes. I own it in several different colors and patterns so it goes with everything. Sophia also has the most stylish masks."

Debbie Kahn of Style by Deco says, "These mittens are amazing and available at one of my favorite stores in Roscoe Village-Cinnamon Boutique. I love that they are super luxe leather on the outside and fur on the inside. But the most amazing thing about these is that you can zip open the mitten and fold it back to have use of your fingers. And they are held open with magnets! Genius!!"

Suze Solari of The Style Lab says, " One of my most recommended accessories is a wrap bracelet, it’s timeless, has a diversity of styles and is comfortable for everyday wear, especially while working from home.  As an extra bonus, the bracelet doubles as a choker!"

And if you are looking for an EPIC GIFT, you could gift her a classic coat like the Southport Overcoat along with a gift card for a styling session with a local stylist to help her bring the whole winter look together in a unique way!
